Access to Justice

Meeting the challenges of providing legal services to all Nevadans is a major focus for the legal community. The need is particularly great for the state’s most vulnerable citizens – victims of domestic violence, children, seniors, and the poor. The Nevada Supreme Court recognized the importance of access to justice in a democratic society and created the Access to Justice Commission in 2006. Its goals include statewide strategic planning and coordination of efforts among public and private legal service providers in order to provide citizens of limited means with access to justice.

The Southern Nevada Senior Law Program is proud to be a member of the Access to Justice Commission and strives to provide free legal services to as many Clark County seniors in need as possible.
