Southern Nevada Senior Law Program celebrates seniors during Older Americans Month: ‘Flip the Script on Aging’ this May

Las Vegas, NV – This May, Southern Nevada Senior Law Program (SLP) joins communities across the nation in celebrating Older Americans Month to honor the contributions of seniors and raise awareness about issues affecting their well-being. This year’s theme, “Flip the Script on Aging,” challenges outdated stereotypes and on how society perceives, talks about, and approaches aging and highlights the purpose, exploration and connection that comes with getting older.

Since 1963, Older Americans Month has served as a time to recognize the contributions and achievements of seniors and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their independence, dignity, and health.

“Seniors are not just recipients of care. They are leaders, innovators, and essential members of our Southern Nevada community,” said Diane Fearon, Executive Director of Senior Law Program. “This May, we’re encouraging everyone to ‘flip the script’ by celebrating the strengths of seniors and ensuring they have access to legal services and support they deserve.”

Throughout May, SLP is proud to highlight our life-changing services for Southern Nevada seniors:
