Community Resources

In order to provide access to justice to as senior raising hand in classmany seniors as possible, the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program maintains an aggressive outreach program serving both urban and rural seniors in Clark, Nye, Lincoln and Esmeralda Counties. Attorneys and support staff regularly conduct seminars at community centers, health fairs, and senior complexes. Annually, the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program holds large-scale events in honor of Older Americans Month and Pro Bono Law Week in Las Vegas. Our rural component travels to outlying locations including Laughlin, Mesquite, Sandy Valley, and Searchlight. These events include Ask-a-Lawyer sessions and preparation of Directives to Physician and Durable Powers of Attorney for Healthcare Decisions.

In special cases, the Southern Nevada Senior Legal Advisor Talking To Senior CoupleLaw Program provides services to homebound clients. An attorney and notary visit a client in his home and complete as much paperwork as possible for signing. If necessary, additional paperwork is prepared in our office and returned to the client for signature.
