Director of Resource Development
Southern Nevada Senior Law Program (SLP) is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Resource Development to lead our fundraising and resource development efforts. The Director of Resource Development will be responsible for building and expanding our donor base, securing financial support, and fostering lasting relationships with supporters, foundations, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nonprofit work, a commitment to improving the lives of seniors, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Annual salary range for this position is $60,000 – $80,000.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of SLP’s fundraising strategy, ensuring alignment with our mission and goals.
• Manage all aspects of donor relations, including prospecting, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual and institutional donors.
• Oversee grant writing, including researching new funding opportunities, preparing proposals, and ensuring timely reporting to funders.
• Collaborate with the executive leadership team to integrate resource development strategies into the organization’s overall growth plans.
• Develop and manage annual fundraising campaigns, events, and online giving initiatives.
• Cultivate relationships with current and potential donors to build long-term partnerships and sustain support.
• Create and monitor fundraising goals and budgets, providing regular reports to leadership.
• Stay up to date with trends and best practices in nonprofit resource development and apply them to the organization’s efforts.
• Coordinate the organization’s marketing and public relations activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in resource development or fundraising, with a proven track record of successful campaigns and grant acquisitions.
• Strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector and understanding of the needs of seniors 60 and over, preferably in the legal services field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience with donor management software and fundraising tools.
