Full Time Legal Assistant/Paralegal (38 hours per week, M-Th)
SLP is currently accepting applications for a full-time Legal Assistant/Paralegal. This position is FLSA non-exempt, supporting multiple Staff Attorneys.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: case file management; prepare correspondence, legal documents and court pleadings; calendar appointments; interact with senior clients and interpret/translate if bi-lingual; perform notary duties; electronic filing of court documents; utilize case management system to access records needed for grant funders; track deadlines; assist with specialized data reporting; pro bono program administration; serve as back up for eviction matters and back up to case management system lead; and other applicable support.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ related experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as technical experience with case management software such as LegalServer, or equivalent. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates highly preferred. The salary range for this position is $45,000 – $52,000 annual, working Monday through Thursday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, and includes a competitive benefits package.
