Intake Specialist I (Bilingual Preferred)
Full Time (38 hours per week, Mon-Thur)
Southern Nevada Senior Law Program (SLP) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Intake Specialist. This position is non-exempt, supporting the operation of a nonprofit legal assistance firm serving senior clients, with a staff of four attorneys.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: responding to incoming calls and email requests for information; handling multiple phone calls and requests effectively; scheduling appointments; greeting and assisting clients in person; gathering and entering intake information provided by clients; opening and closing client files; entering accurate case notes into the case management system; supporting attorneys in serving clients by making copies, scanning, electronic filing and providing notarization of documents, and other applicable support.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of customer service experience and an eagerness to engage with the senior community. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, ability to learn case management software, effective communication and customer service skills are also key to this position. Bilingual candidates highly encouraged. The salary range for this position is $15 – $19 per hour, Monday through Thursday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Established in 1978, SLP has helped more than 125,000 seniors receive no-cost, quality legal assistance to protect their rights and help them with the challenges of aging. Our office is based in Las Vegas and has a staffing model of four staff attorneys, legal support staff, client intake and administrative staff, and Executive Director. Some of the areas of law we focus on to assist our senior clients are: Durable Powers of Attorney for Healthcare and for Financial Matters, Wills and/or Simple Estate Plans, Prevention of Elder Abuse and Exploitation, Avoidance of Scams and Response to being a Victim of Fraud, Public Entitlements such as Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid, Landlord/Tenant Issues, Evictions, Foreclosures and Habitability Issues.
