Legal Assistant/Paralegal (Bilingual Preferred) (copy)
SLP is currently accepting applications for a full-time Legal Assistant/Paralegal. This position is FLSA non-exempt, supporting multiple Staff Attorneys. Candidates with prior estate planning experience and/or bilingual are highly preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: case file management; preparing correspondence, legal documents, and court pleadings; calendar appointments; interacting with senior clients and interpreting/translating (if bi-lingual); performing notary duties; electronic filing of court documents; prepare estate planning documents and review with clients; utilize case management system to access records and track deadlines; research and other applicable legal support.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of related legal experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as technical experience with case management software such as LegalServer, or equivalent. Estate planning experience is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly preferred. The pay range for this position is $23.00 – $26.00 per hour, working hours Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and includes a competitive benefits package.
