Our History

The Southern Nevada Senior Law Program was founded in 1978 with a grant under Title III of the Older Americans Act. Originally sponsored by the City of Las Vegas, the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID #453662698). We are partially funded by grants from the Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division, the Justice League of Nevada, Wells Fargo Bank, and the State Bar of Nevada. During the last 35 years, we have had the pleasure of providing free legal services to more than 100,000 seniors living in Clark County (County).

Since 1978, we have been providing free, quality legal services to residents of the County who are 60 years of age and older. The cornerstone of our mission is our clients’ honor, dignity, and the free exercise of individual initiative in planning and managing their own lives.

Seniors at a Legal SeminarOver the years, the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program has expanded its scope of service delivery and staff and always strives to meet the growing demand from Nevada’s senior population. Group seminars on a variety of topics and individual appointments with an attorney are available in our office; our attorneys visit rural communities within the County and bring these valuable services to our clients.

Some so-called professionals are more interested in getting a new luxury car than taking care of their clients’ welfare. I have resided in Las Vegas since 1958 and feel that the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program is one place seniors can depend on. Their attorneys take care of our legal needs or guide us with the right information. Thank you for all of your help, and with gratitude I say great job.
