Our History

The Southern Nevada Senior Law Program was founded in 1978 with a grant under Title III of the Older Americans Act. Originally sponsored by the City of Las Vegas, the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID #453662698). We are partially funded by grants from the Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division, the Justice League of Nevada, Wells Fargo Bank, and the State Bar of Nevada. During the last 35 years, we have had the pleasure of providing free legal services to more than 100,000 seniors living in Clark County (County).

Since 1978, we have been providing free, quality legal services to residents of the County who are 60 years of age and older. The cornerstone of our mission is our clients’ honor, dignity, and the free exercise of individual initiative in planning and managing their own lives.

Seniors at a Legal SeminarOver the years, the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program has expanded its scope of service delivery and staff and always strives to meet the growing demand from Nevada’s senior population. Group seminars on a variety of topics and individual appointments with an attorney are available in our office; our attorneys visit rural communities within the County and bring these valuable services to our clients.

Many thanks for all the information regarding my overpayment dilemma with social security. The forms you sent are very helpful. I am grateful that you sent me two copies because I needed a second copy due to my forgetting my expenses. I couldn’t see why I had no (or very little) money after I paid my rent. This is very helpful to have access to attorneys who are specific Elder Law Attorneys. I am impressed with the way you handled my case quickly and professionally. Thank you very much!
