In celebration of Juneteenth, SLP would like to recognize and thank our community partner, Wendell Blaylock, for sharing the story of the Tuskegee Airmen with us and with CCSD schools. These “flyboys” advanced the civil rights movement by breaking through the race barrier that kept African Americans from becoming military pilots prior to WWII.
