Paralegal (Bilingual Preferred)
SLP is currently accepting applications for a full-time experienced Paralegal. This FLSA non-exempt position supports multiple Staff Attorneys. Candidates with prior estate planning experience and/or bilingual are highly preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: case file management; preparing correspondence, drafting legal documents and court pleadings; setting calendar appointments; interacting with senior clients and interpreting/translating (if bilingual); performing notary duties; and e-filing court documents. This position will prepare estate planning documents and review them with clients, conduct legal research, utilize the case management system to input case notes, access records, and track deadlines, and provide other applicable legal support.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of related paralegal experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as technical experience with case management software such as LegalServer, or equivalent is required. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly preferred. The pay range is $23.00 – $28.00 per hour for 38 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and includes a competitive benefits package.
