January 25, 2024 (Las Vegas, NV) – The Southern Nevada Senior Law Program (SLP), a law firm dedicated to providing exceptional no-cost legal services for seniors, proudly announces the appointment of Jeffry Dorocak and Deanna L. Forbush to its esteemed board of directors.

Jeff Dorocak – Experienced City Attorney and Public Servant

Jeff Dorocak, the newly appointed City Attorney of Las Vegas, brings a wealth of experience to the board. Unanimously selected by the City Council in August 2023, Jeff previously served as the Assistant City Attorney for the city’s Civil Division since 2021. His prior public service roles include working as an intergovernmental relations officer for the city of Henderson and a hearing officer for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Jeff is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and earned a juris doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Law. He is a local government fellow and regional vice president of the International Municipal Lawyers Association, is on the Board of Directors for Nevada Legal Services, and maintains an active pro bono practice with Senior Law Program and the Legal Aid Center’s Children’s Attorneys Project. His commitment to public service and legal expertise make him a valuable addition to The Southern Nevada Senior Law Program board.

Deanna L. Forbush – A Trusted Legal Adviser and Labor Law Expert

Deanna Forbush, a seasoned business litigator and trusted legal adviser, joins the board with a wealth of experience in resolving a broad range of legal issues. Known for serving as outside general counsel, she has been instrumental in strategizing with business owners to protect their legal rights and position their companies for success. Deanna is particularly fluent in organized labor issues, including collective bargaining, and serves as the regional practice lead for the firm’s Labor & Employment Department in the Las Vegas office.

Notable Achievements:

  • Appointment by Nevada State Supreme Court to Nevada’s Blue Ribbon Article 6 Commission, formed to study all aspects of the Nevada Judiciary.
  • Appointment by Dean John Valery White to the UNLV Boyd College of Law Advisory Board.
  • Trustee at Westminster College

Senior Law Program is holding Spanish workshops on February 28th at 1:30pm and April 24th at 9:30am at 7690 W. Sahara Ave. Las Vegas, Nevada 89117.
